League Officers
Jack Massuci
Vice President
Jack Massucci is the longest running member of the Wildcat League. Jack began as a site director then initiated the position of League Fundamentalist where he instructed for 19 years. He became League Secretary in 1988 and to Vice-President in 2000. Jack is the liaison between schools, the park board, and sites. He is also in charge of the logistical side of Wildcat. Jack retired from Concordia High School where he taught and coached for 37 years. Jack coached football, basketball but was one of the areas finest baseball coaches. Jack has over 500 victories including 3 final four appearances including a state runner-up title in 1995. Jack was elected to the Indiana Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1993. He has 2 children, Jeff and Patti. He also has three grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob and Tessa.
Dean Doerffler
President
Dean Doerffler became the President of the Wildcat Baseball League beginning with the 2021 season. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Wildcat Baseball League since 2009 and has worked for the Wildcat League during his high school and college years. Dean began his career in education in 1977 as a business teacher, football coach and baseball coach at South Side High School. He became head football coach at Northrop High School in 1984 and the Athletic Director in 1992. He has also served as Athletic Director at Concordia Lutheran High School beginning in 1999. He retired as the Athletic Director from CLHS in 2017 after serving 40 years in the field of secondary education and school administration. He and his wife Barb have 3 children, Ryan, Jason and Angie and have 8 grandchildren.
Gary Rogers
Commisioner
Gary Rogers came to the office after spending 12 years as a site director at Northwood and then St Joe. His coaching expertise allows Gary to instruct our staff with current fundamentals of baseball and softball that are used at each site throughout the year. Gary has been coaching baseball at the high school level for many years. Gary is presently retired, but he continues to coach the baseball team at Leo High School. Gary and his wife Jackie for have 3 daughters, Melissa, Emily, and Katie, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Mark Mugg
Assistant Commissioner / Mr. Mac Day Director
Mark Mugg has come to the office after spending many years as a Junior Coach, Assistant Director and Site Director. He has spent time coaching at Franke Park, Lakeside School, North Side Park, Hamilton Park and St. Joe. Mark has also been the head baseball coach at North Side High School and an assistant coach at Bellmont High School, Canterbury High School and currently at Woodlan High School. Mark has also spent many years coaching little league baseball at St. Joe. Mark is currently a teacher at Woodlan Jr./Sr. High School teaching science classes. Mark and his wife Laurel have 3 sons, John, Mike and Jeff, and 1 grandchild.
