MR. MAC DAY FAQ

• Who is Mr. Mac and what role did he play in Wildcat Baseball?

  • Mr. Dale McMillen is the founder of the Wildcat Baseball League. The McMillen Foundation financially supports the Wildcat Baseball League. Mr. Mac Day is a day set aside to honor Mr. McMillen’s vision of having a baseball league with the motto “Everybody Makes the Team”. 

• Where is Mr. Mac Day held?

  • Kreager Park. (7225 N River Road, Fort Wayne IN, 46815)

• What time does Mr. Mac Day start and end?

  • The day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 11:30 a.m. 

• What type of activities do Wildcatters participate in during Mr. Mac Day?

  • There are four open competitions’ including hitting off the tee for distance, base running for time, throwing for distance, and throwing for accuracy. 

• Are there other types of activities on Mr. Mac Day?

  • There are Kitty division All-Star and Kat division All-Star games. 

  • There is a Kitty division running relay race and a Kat division throwing relay race. 

• How does a Wildcatter (Kitty and Kat divisions) get to play in an All-Star game or relay race?

  • Wildcatters are chosen and asked at the site by their coaches. There will only be 1, 2, or 3 Wildcatters chosen for each All-Star game from each site and 4 Wildcatters will be chosen for each relay team from each site.  

• Do Wildcatters earn participation awards?

  • Yes – Every Wildcatter will receive a sticker commemorating their participation in each open competition. 

• Where do Wildcatter’s get Mr. Mac Day Tickets?

  • Wildcatters get Mr. Mac Day Tickets at their site. The coaches working at each site will hand out Mr. Mac Day tickets after games/practices 1 to 2 weeks before Mr. Mac Day. 

  • If you forgot or did not receive Mr. Mac Day tickets please see a Wildcat staff member. 

• Can another family member get Mr. Mac Day tickets so they can participate in the open competitions and eat lunch?

  • No – Only Wildcatters can receive Mr. Mac Day tickets. 

• Where do Wildcatters put their ticket for a chance to win prizes during the awards ceremony?

  • Wildcatters should place the ticket (with name, address, phone number and site) in the bucket for the site at which they played. The buckets can be found in the tickets booth. 

•  Can my brother, sister or other family member get a slice of pizza?

  • No – only Wildcatters can get a slice of pizza. 

• What should a Wildcatter wear and bring to Mr. Mac Day?

  • Wildcatter’s should wear their official Wildcat Baseball uniform (Wildcat shirt and hat) and they should not bring anything except a water bottle if desired. 

• How will I know if Mr. Mac Day is cancelled due to rain?

  • You can follow Wildcat Baseball on Instagram and Facebook.

  • Site directors will send out a message on their communication app.
