Frequently Asked Questions
When does the season start?

The season starts on Monday, June1at all sites. Mr. Mac Day is Friday,July 10and the season ends on Friday, July 17.

We are a daytime baseball program. We do not play in the evening or onweek-ends.Ourprogram runsdaily from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.
When and how can I register?

Registration dates are Saturday, May 23and Saturday, May 30at all sites.

The time frame is from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm

You may also register online beginning in mid-April.

We recommend you go to the site on the registration dates to meet the staff, pick up a first week schedule, & buy your hat and shirt for the season.
How does online registration work?
-
When you register online you will not get a notification that the registration form was received by the Wildcat Office. We really want you to go to the site on the registration Saturdays to meet the staff, confirm your registration, buy your hat and shirt and pick the first week schedule. You can also do these things on the start date of the season. Online registration gets you on the roster at the site you wish to play and eliminates a step at Saturday registrations.
Is there a fee for playing Wildcat Baseball?

There is no fee for playing Wildcat Baseball. The program is entirely funded by the McMillen Foundation. We do ask that you purchase a hat and t-shirt to wear during the season. The cost of the hat is $5.00 and the cost of the t-shirt is $5.00. The Wildcat Baseball League considers this donation because we are a Not-For-Profit organization.
When do I play games or have a practice?

Normally, Wildcatters will be involved in three activities per week (games& practices). The times and days of the week vary from site to site. Typically, the younger Wildcatters play in the morning, and older Wildcatters play in the afternoon. Practice and games usually run from 1hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes.

All games and practices take place at your site. There is no travel between sites.

What days of the week do I play?

Schedules are set by the site director and are handed out on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday for the next week. The days of the week and the times will vary.
What are the age groups?
-
We have four divisions in the Wildcat Baseball League.

Kitten League–Ages 6-7-8

Kitty League–Ages 9-10
-
Kat League–Ages 11-12
-
Tiger League–Ages 13, 14, 15

Can my son or daughter be on the same team with their friends or relatives?

Yes–You must let the staff know this when you register.

Can I register at any site?

You can register at any site–however, you must play at the site in whichyou register.
What equipment do I need?
-
Wildcatters will need theirhat and shirt and a baseball glove. Everythingelse is provided by the Wildcat League. You may wear baseball shoes orgym shoes. Some of our Wildcatters also wear baseball pants.

We do not allow Wildcatters to wear metal spikes baseball shoes in anydivision.

You can bring your own bat and helmet. Make sure youputyourname onyourbat and helmet.Also, put your name on your hat.

Also, we encourage Wildcatters to bring a water bottle.

How do I find out ifmy site is playing on rain days?

You should check the website for site cancellations on rain days. You may also call the Wildcat Office at 260-456-5821.
What do I do if my son or daughter has to miss a game or a practice?
-
The first thing that you should do is notify the coaching staff at the site that you play at. Let them know the days you will not be in attendance. You should also be aware that to receive any end of the season awards the Wildcatter needs to be in attendance 51% of time.
Are Awards given at the end of the season?

Yes, the site will award trophies for league champions and perfect attendance. Perfect attendance starts on the second Monday of the season until the end of the season. To receive a perfect attendance the Wildcatter must be present at all games and practices–there are no excuses.
